Hug the cat and cry!
“Hug the cat and cry!”, that is the “only thing” that “President Tsai Ing-wen knows to do”, says Taiwanese columnist Chen Sung-shan.
Tunghua University professor Shih Cheng-feng says that President Tsai Ing-wen’s ministers are short on capabilities, governance is dysfunctional, there is weak management and control, there is chaotic governance, and if these shortcomings are not corrected, the entire cabinet may have to be replaced.
The new government has misjudged and underestimated the political situation, and the new government has a fear of backlash from the people. The new government has a problem with the reasonableness of its policies and its political correctness.
In office for only six months, satisfaction towards President Tsai Ing-wen is at a low of 34% and dissatisfaction towards her is at a high of 58%. And according the professor, this is the result of all the above mentioned mistakes and errors made by the new government.
To me, these are manifestations of governmental neurosis.
So, hug the cat and cry!
